
As a theme park designer, while at Walt Disney Imagineering, Steve worked on every single Disney theme park prior to Shanghai Disneyland as either a designer or writer. After 28 years at Disney, he was recruited to lead the design team at Universal Studios Japan in 2015 and remained in Osaka for 4 years until he relocated to Orlando, Florida as the Vice President and Executive Creative Director for Universal’s Epic Universe. He has been called “one of the industry’s most versatile and inspiring leaders.” In addition to serving as the Chief Creative Officer of MDSX, keeping a keen eye on the stories we tell, he is also a professor of immersive experiences at the USC School of Cinema and an instructor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design Executive Education. He has also worked as a tour guide, Jungle Cruise Skipper, illustrator, radio host, stand-up comedian, and author.
